Chorus Reader ("the App") is developed by svetim.fm. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.
The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All text-to-speech processing runs entirely on your device using local models. No text you import, paste, or generate audio from ever leaves your device.
All TTS inference is performed locally on your Apple Silicon GPU via MLX. No audio, text, or voice recordings are sent to any server.
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your library metadata and audio files are stored in your private iCloud Drive container. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot access your iCloud data.
If you record a voice sample for voice cloning, the recording is processed on-device to extract speaker embeddings and is stored locally on your device (and in your iCloud container if sync is enabled). Voice recordings are never uploaded to any third-party server.
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information.
The App does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party telemetry. We do not track your usage.
The App does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
